Next week is Coronation Street's 50th Anniversary and as well as an explosive set of episodes - which, seeing as Keith's character Ciaran works in the very bar that explodes, he's bound to get caught up in somehow (eek!) - there's other special programming worth keeping an eye on just in case, for glimpses of Keith...
First up on
Saturday 5th December is
'Stars on the Street', a documentary about the celebrities who have starred in Corrie. It's a repeat, so I know Keith appears in this, think it must have been filmed in 2008, as if I remember correctly, his hair was longer; like it was in the Love You Anyway' video. Anyway, if you fancy watching that, it's on
ITV1 at
5.15pm.On
Monday 6th December,
ITV2 is showing
'Coronation Street Uncovered: Live' on the night of the tram crash. It's a behind-the-scenes show which will feature interviews with cast members and we can always watch in the hope Keith may be one of them! Tune in at
10.00pm.
On
Tuesday 7th December, the
Lorraine Kelly show is coming live and direct from the corrie set, if you're around at
8.30am it may be worth watching just in case he appears on this.
Also on
Tuesday, the first part of
'Coronation Street: 50 Years, 50 Moments' is being broadcast on
ITV1 at
9.00pm. If it's one of those 'talking heads' type programmes he might be a part of it. Not definite, but again, worth a look just in case. Might be a good programme to watch anyway!
The second part of
'Coronation Street: 50 Years, 50 Moments' is on
Thursday 9th December (the night of the live episode - oooh!) again at
9.00pm. If you watch the first, there's no point missing the second, after all you'd miss the all important number one moment! Oh and you never know... glimpses of Keith!
Also that night, the
'Celebrity Juice: Coronation Street Special' is on at
10.00pm on
ITV2. As far as I know, he isn't on this but you may want to watch it anyway. Keith's (Ciaran) on screen girlfriend Kym Marsh (Michelle) definitely appears as well as former on screen fiance Shobna Gulati, (Sunita) so at least there's a Keith connection!
Friday 10th December sees Paul O'Grady host
'Coronation Street: The big 50' on
ITV1 at
9.00pm; featuring a quiz, musical performances and some surprises. This is the one everyone should watch as Keith is joined by his Boyzone bandmates Ronan & Shane, and corrie castmate Kym Marsh to sing 'No Matter What'.
Magazines
Keith appears in two magazines this week 'Inside Soap' and 'Ok!'
In 'Inside Soap' he features in a special Corrie 50th Anniversary pull out, which, believe me is worth buying for the gorgeous picture alone! There's also a mini interview where he talks about his memories of watching Coronation Street as a youngster, which storyline he liked, the anniversary itself and the live episode.
In 'Ok!' there's a few pictures of him at Simon Gregson's (Corrie's Steve) wedding; mainly small ones but there's one big photo of him with the happy couple and other fellow Coronation Street cast members. I must say he's looking rather lovely in his glasses..
